Each body carries a story…

For several years, I struggled with disordered eating, overexercise, and body shame. Rather than developing a stronger relationship with myself, I continued to believe less food and more high-intensity exercise would be the solution. I didn’t get the results I wanted and instead, created hormone imbalances and digestion issues that followed me for several years.

It took me a long time to find balance. I oscillated between two extremes chasing for the key to success. Sometimes, completely disconnected from my body and ignoring all signals to rest or slow down. Other times, hyperaware of everything I was doing to the point of unhealthy obsession, questioning everything I ate and tracking every calorie burned during my workouts. Until I hit my “rock bottom,” and my body and mind couldn’t take anymore.

It became very clear I had to completely change my approach. Since that point, I set out on my journey to rediscover balance. Along the way, I found three key practices:

  1. Intentional MOVEment

  2. NOURISHing foods

  3. Mindfulness & FLOW

Through these practices, I was able to begin again. Continually rediscovering who I am, what my body needs, and what my inner voice is saying.

I believe so strongly in this approach that I decided to find a way to share this with others. I became certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) and Restorative Wellness Practitioner (RWP). Additionally, I completed the 200-hour yoga teacher training with Stephanie Snyder at Love Story Yoga and continue to further my education by training to become a pilates instructor with Polestar Pilates.

I create a comprehensive and unique experience for my clients, combining nutrition knowledge with yoga philosophy and pilates movement. Each body carries a different story and each person has to find the right nutrition & movement practice for themselves. I’m here to provide the right environment and guidance for that process.
